THE VAPPU ISSUE 2023: UNFOLDING
The Vappu issue is a staple, and this year we worked with the theme of unfolding. This is reflected in the unique way the issue is folded. As for the content, the editorial team introduced a jam-packed playlist, events for ARTS students, a packing list for the Vappu picnic, and a cure for hangovers.

Folded, and ready to go.

This year's issue included a holographic sticker.

THE COVER STORY
The cover design is based on a collective drawing. Templates and markers were distributed around Väre on the Aalto University campus, mainly where the ARTS students hang out. Then, the drawings were scanned and combined into a single drawing. 100% hand-drawn cover design is a testament to intuition, imagination, and human dexterity. Bright, saturated, and tertiary colors reflect the celebratory nature of the Finnish spring celebration.

Final cover design, based on a collective drawing. Made with markers.
